To "Support Local" is more than just a hashtag, it's a lifestyle we have come to fully embrace. When we choose to travel to the different islands of the Philippines or when we buy from local businesses, we also help out the community and boost our economy.

The Philippine Harvest is organized by the Department of Tourism (DOT), SSI Group of Companies, and Central Square. Now on it's 9th edition, it has been dubbed as the "Celebration of Philippine Food Destinations." This food fair highlights the country's culinary destinations like Bicol, Negros Occidental, Cebu, and Davao.

Check out some of the items we found: For the sweet-toothed, Auro's premium cocoa and chocolate products which came from farming communities in Davao. Papa Pusit and Darling Danggit which are sustainably produced by Balangay's Best are also available.

One of the brands joining this fair is Island Gems who are selling their bottled ube de pastillas, macapuno, laing, banana blossoms - among many other flavors. And all the way from La Union, one of the well-known surf towns in the Philippines, is El Union who will be offering their bestselling iced coffees like the Dirty Horchata.

Other businesses such as Hiraya Bakery, Casa Del Formaggio, 1st Colonial, and a lot more are certainly worth the trip. Check them out at Central Square, Bonifacio Global City from June 14 to June 17, 2018.
