Fun fact: The Philippines is the first country in Asia to grow cacao in the 17th century due to the Manila-Acapulco galleon trade. Filipinos have developed a rich tradition of turning cacao into drinking chocolate, locally known as tablea, tableya or sikwate. This tradition has been lovingly passed down from generation to generation, but has unfortunately been declining in recent decades. Auro Chocolate is innovating on this cultural heritage by pushing the boundaries in our process - from fermentation to packaging, so that this tradition can be appreciated not only by newer generations of Filipinos but also the rest of the world.

To elevate the standards of cacao and premium chocolate production in the Philippines, we have invested in a 2,000 sqm factory equipped with the latest European technology. Our facility located in Calamba, Laguna is designed to meet the strictest international standards of HALAL and HACCP certification.
We have designed the factory specifically for learning and collaboration to invite everyone, both public and professionals alike, to appreciate the bean-to-bar chocolate making process as much as we do.
