Barista/Cashier (Pre-Opening)

I. JOB SUMMARY

We are searching for an engaging, courteous barista who is passionate about food and beverage preparation and education. This position is concerned with providing the highest quality and consistency of all beverages served to guests according to Standard Operating Procedure and cleanliness of all station


II. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Welcoming guests, informing them about specials or new items, answering questions, and accepting orders and payments.
  2. Manage transactions with customers using POS system
  3. Able to collect payments whether in cash or credit or e-wallet
  4. Issue receipts, refunds, change or tickets
  5. Count money in cash drawers at the beginning of shifts to ensure that amounts are correct and that there is adequate change.
  6. Track transactions on balance sheets and report any discrepancies
  7. Cross-sell products and introduce new ones
  8. Commitment to customer satisfaction and service excellence.
  9. Provides high-level of coffee service during busy hours, includes making a variety of espresso and non-espresso drinks and ability to read and follow recipes
  10. Cleaning and restocking, emptying trash and sanitizing equipment and utensils.
  11. Follow the daily production list strictly when preparing beverage items
  12. Respect the shelf life of all beverage production and label accordingly to Standard Operating Procedure
  13. Report poor quality of raw materials and defects of bar equipment

  15. Follow the cleaning charts to ensure cleaning and maintenance are done accordingly
  16. Perform inventory management and stock control responsibilities
  17. Minimized wastage of goods through good practice of First In First Out
  18. Maintain awareness of any items not available in the bar
  19. Exercise personal hygiene through clean uniforms and grooming
  20. Team player, flexible enough to pitch in where needed to get the job done
  21. Promotes coffee and chocolate consumption by educating customers
  22. Selling of retail products when needed
  23. Preparing foods, such as sandwiches or baked goods, and grinding and blending coffee beans, brewing coffee and tea, and serving items to customers.
  24. Availability to work around peak hours, including nights, early morning, weekends and holidays.
  25. Willingness to work as part of a high-energy, efficient team in a fast-paced environment.

V. JOB SPECIFICATION

  1. Preferably 1-4 Yrs Experienced Employees specializing in Barista
  2. Bachelor’s Degree in HRM, or a related field
  3. Must have attention to detail and ability to multitask
  4. Experience as part of pre-opening team preferred 
  5. Able to commit 6 days in a week / 8hours per day
  6. Can start immediately and willing to be reassigned in different outlets
  7. Familiarity with telephone, office and point-of-sale software
