In 1948, Yoshio Ikeda founded Ikeda Senchado — a heritage Japanese brand situated in Tenmonkan. Nearby stands Sakurajima, a majestic 13, 000-year-old active volcano and a symbol of the Kagoshima Prefecture, famously known as one of the leading tea-growing regions in all of Japan. Ikeda Senchado is led by Kenta Ikeda of the third generation. He currently holds the highest rank of 10th Grade tea master in Japan.
