HERITAGE MEETS INNOVATION

This factory does more than just producing fine chocolate. We have designed the factory specifically for learning and collaboration to invite everyone, both public and professionals alike, to appreciate the bean-to-bar chocolate making process much as we do.

Originating from the Amazon basin, cacao first reached the Philippines in 1670 through the Manila-Acapulco galleon trade. In fact, the Philippines was the first country in Asia to grow cacao. Filipinos began to create their own form of hot chocolate or tsokolate made from discs of ground cocoa nibs locally known as tablea. Tsokolate has been a staple in our homes for centuries and it is a tradition lovingly passed on from one generation to the next. This heritage lives on, yet our country is far from maximizing the true benefits of cacao as there has always been more focus on improving yield, and not enough on improving quality.

To address this issue, we have partnered with farmers and industry experts to design a sustainable solution to guarantee that we achieve the best quality. We elevate the standards of cocoa production in the Philippines by investing in technology and collaborating with the world’s leading equipment manufacturers to set up a 2,000 square-meter modern chocolate factory. Our facility located in Calamba, Laguna is designed to meet the strictest international standards. This factory does more than just producing fine chocolate. We have designed the factory specifically for learning and collaboration to invite everyone, both public and professionals alike, to appreciate the bean-to-bar chocolate making process much as we do.
